At Scented Pages Workshop, our mission is not just about making scents; it’s about using creativity to make a positive impact. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to align our sales with giving back to our community. After our first market event, we decided to donate part of our profits to support children with autism.
This decision was inspired by a close family friend who has a child on the autism spectrum. I saw how sensory experiences could bring calm and joy to him, and it made me think about how our multisensory approach to literature could also help others find moments of peace.
Every time we make a sale—whether at a local market or online—we set aside a portion for donation. So far, we’ve supported local autism organizations, including sensory learning programs that help children develop confidence and connection.
Sharing this story at markets helps customers understand that their purchase is part of something bigger. It transforms a simple product into a shared mission of creativity and care. Some customers have even returned to thank us for supporting causes close to their hearts, reminding me that entrepreneurship is about more than profit; it’s about purpose.
This experience taught me that business can be a tool for change, and that even as a young entrepreneur, I have the power to align commerce with community needs. It’s a reminder that every small action can add up to something meaningful.
