Founding Scented Pages Workshop: My Journey as a Teen Entrepreneur

Starting Scented Pages Workshop wasn’t a perfectly planned project. It started because I wanted to help my friends, who found classic literature boring, experience these stories through scent and emotion. But I soon realized that if I wanted this idea to grow, I needed to think like an entrepreneur, not just a creator.

At seventeen, I officially founded Scented Pages Workshop, designing its mission to “reconnect youth with classics through scent, art, and music.” I worked on the logo and brand colors, learning how design influences perception. I studied Shopify tutorials late at night, building a website that could present our story authentically while managing inventory and payment flows.

As CEO, I wasn’t just making perfumes—I was leading a small but passionate team of friends and younger students who helped with mixing, packaging, and even social media filming. We created a workflow to manage content planning, production, and market preparation while balancing our school schedules.

I also set clear goals for what we wanted to achieve: launching three literary-inspired scents, testing them in local markets, gathering user feedback, and iterating on our products based on real responses. It taught me to think critically about product-market fit, design aesthetics, and the business side of creative ventures.

What I am most proud of is how this project allowed me to transform an idea into a working system that could inspire and involve other young people. Founding Scented Pages Workshop was the moment I discovered how leadership isn’t about having all the answers but about having the courage to take the first step, learn from mistakes, and guide others toward a shared vision.
