Running Scented Pages Workshop while managing high school, AP classes, and SAT preparation has been one of my biggest challenges—and the most rewarding.
My mornings start with schoolwork, focusing on subjects like AP Statistics and English, which unexpectedly help with my business. Statistics has taught me to analyze our Shopify and Instagram data, while English inspires new scent stories.
After school, I dedicate one hour to SPW tasks. This could be testing a new scent blend, editing a TikTok video, or answering customer emails. On weekends, I spend additional time working on product development and planning market events, ensuring our operations stay consistent.
Time management became essential. I use a Google Calendar to block study hours and business tasks, making sure I don’t neglect either. Sometimes, I work on SPW during lunch breaks, jotting down scent formula ideas or replying to customers.
There are moments when it feels overwhelming, like preparing for a market while studying for a physics test, but I’ve learned to see these challenges as opportunities to build discipline and resilience. My parents and friends help, often joining me at markets or assisting with packaging on busy days.
Balancing school and entrepreneurship has shown me that passion makes hard work feel worthwhile. It has taught me that leadership starts with leading myself, and that even as a teenager, I can build something meaningful while staying committed to my education.
